The behaviour of polymers depends strongly on the loading speed. Hence, it is necessary for a broad characterisation to carry out experiments at higher speeds (impact loading or rather dynamic testing) besides the quasi-static tests (tensile, compression or bend test).
In our accredited laboratory MPK, we offer you the following test methods for your investigations:
- Impact bending test and notched impact bending test, conventional (Charpy, Dynstat, Izod) and instrumented (Charpy)
- Tensile-impact test and notched tensile-impact test, conventional
- Instrumented Charpy impact test according to MPK-ICIT
- Instrumented tensile-impact test according to MPK-ITIT
Besides the determination of impact strength and notch impact strength, we can also determine the fracture mechanics characteristic values under impact loading.
